The King’s Head is one of the oldest fringe theatres in London. It is also a launch pad for talent and inspiration particularly for young people. Theatre is an art form that can spark and increase self-confidence, expression and inspiration. We are committed to increasing access for young people who may normally not have the opportunity or inclination to go to the theatre. At the same time we are committed to taking theatre into the community – both encouraging young people to perform and bringing theatre to a young audience. The King’s Head Education Department exists to complement and reflect the work of the King’s Head Theatre productions and to produce curricular and socially-relevant theatre in which young people can take part, and with which they can actively engage and learn new skills.
