A dark tragi-comic social satire. A group of people meet at the country residence of the mysterious Lob for a summer house party. The household is odd, the host eccentric, the butler menacing and there is an eerie wood which can only be entered on Midsummer Night. The Machiavellian Lob sends them in and before the night is out, the wood will reveal much more than the second chance they all secretly long for. Gosford Park meets Midsummer Night's Dream by way of the Twilight Zone.

STREET MAGIC

21st October-7th December

Book by Lisa Forrell
Music & Lyrics by Brett Kahr

Based on a true story, Street Magic is a moving rite of passage tale, charting the journey of a young girl, Sugar, the daughter of Desdemona, a Brixton brothel owner originally from Jamaica. The story contrasts Sugar's discovery of young love with local boy Rem and her horrific introduction to prostitution, both on her 13th birthday. Her search for the identity of her father parallels her search for her own identity with devastating, and finally redemptive, onsequences.

GODIVA

9th December-25th January

Book & lyrics by Guy Bolton
Music by Vivian Ellis CBE

In the court of Leofric, the Earl of Mercia, trouble is brewing - Lady Godiva, the Earl's wife in all but the eyes of the church, won't go to bed with him unless he pays his penance to the local Bishop. However, when Leofric imprisons the cousins of Godiva's handsome tailor Tom, she has little choice but to carry out his demand to ride naked through the centre of the city in order to free them.

A musical tale of Anglo Saxon attitudes to a soundtrack of minstrels' lutes and debauched singing where (almost) everything will be revealed.
